Gold Investment - Categories: Gold Shares or Gold Mining Shares

Gold shares or gold mining shares can be divided into three categories, according to the gold they produce per annum, expressed in gold troy ounces:

  • Top-Tier Gold Producers - Gold producers or gold mining companies in this category extract over a million gold troy ounces per annum.

  • Mid-Tier Gold Producers - Gold producers or gold mining companies in this category extract between 200 000 and a million gold troy ounces per annum.
  • Junior Gold Producers/Explorers - Gold producers or gold mining companies in this category extract less than 200 000 gold troy ounces per annum.
